What are the benefits of becoming a SmileRescue® provider?
We are looking for exceptional cosmetic and implant dentists to become SmileRescue® providers. There are plenty of benefits to becoming a SmileRescue® provider, such as:
- You will help people who are in desperate need of extensive dental work
- You will perform charity work and get compensated for your work
- You will have the opportunity to offer patients optimal dental treatment without having to cut corners or worry about insurance coverage, payments, etc.
We founded SmileRescue® to assist those in need of extensive dental work. Our organization aims to help individuals who need their entire mouths fixed. We're talking about full mouth implants, full mouth reconstruction, complete porcelain veneer smile makeovers, etc. These complex dental cases cost tens of thousands of dollars which very few people can afford. As a result, many patients end up having to remove teeth that could otherwise have been saved. Others settle for wearing dentures because they can not afford dental implants. This is where SmileRescue® comes in. We help these desperate individuals raise donations to have their mouths fixed the right way. SmileRescue® is truly a win-win situation:
- Dentist: You get paid by the non-profit to fix the patient's mouth using optimal dentistry
- Patient: The patient receives optimal dental treatment without having to take a second mortgage on their house!
Now, let's find out if you are the right fit for our organization:
Qualifications for becoming a SmileRescue® provider
SmileRescue® is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization that raises money to help individuals in desperate need of extensive dental work. A SmileRescue® provider is a dentist who accepts our donations in exchange for providing optimal dental care for qualifying patients. In order to become a SmileRescue® provider, you must be comfortable offering these dental treatments:
- Porcelain veneers
- Crowns
- Root canals
- Dental implants
- Sedation dentistry
We're looking for passionate, highly-skilled dentists who enjoy offering comprehensive dental care to patients in need. This includes cosmetic dentistry, such as porcelain veneers and ceramic crowns, root canals, and of course, dental implants. We do NOT offer dentures, so your denture skills are irrelevant (aside from temporary dentures when healing from dental implants).
It's perfectly fine if you don't perform your own surgeries and/or root canals. You're more than welcome to work alongside other dental specialists so long as they are willing to accept the payment made through the non-profit for offering their portion of the treatment. This means that multi-specialty practices qualify for becoming a SmileResuce® provider. Similarly, if you own a private practice and are able to work closely with neighboring specialists, then you will qualify. However, if you are a solo practitioner who is not involved in specialty care, then you won't qualify. Finally, you must either own your practice or act as the managing dentist under a corporation. Associate dentists can not become providers, although they are more than welcome to work alongside a participating dentist who is a SmileRescue® provider.
Keep in mind that you must be able to accommodate sedation dentistry. Typically, patients who require full mouth treatment want to be sedated. After all, who wants to remove a dozen teeth or receive a handful of dental implants while they are awake? This is why we give preference to dentists who offer conscious sedation or IV sedation as well as those who work with an anesthesiologist. While Nitrous Oxide is great, it is not sufficient to qualify as an acceptable sedation method for extensive dental treatments.
Geographical limitations
We are a niche non-profit organization that raises funds to help individuals in desperate need of extensive dental work. Our objective is to send between 5 to 10 complex cases each year to participating providers where the average treatment case is around $30,000. Once we have a provider successfully covering a region, we will not accept nearby providers.
